"Bringing the best out of the kids"
Currently, I am teaching at a tuition centre located in Bishan. I am teaching a group of JC 1 students Mathematics. During my lessons, I will ensure that the students understand the concepts and theories that I am teaching fully before I move on. I will prepare my lessons beforehand and go through the concepts for the first half of each lesson and for the second half of the lesson, I would go through some examples with the students and let them try out some questions on their own. I would reserve the last 15 minutes for the students to ask me any questions or clear any doubts they have with their schoolwork. I believe in self learning and understanding. Students should not always wait for their teachers/tutors to provide them the answers to questions or problems that they do not know how to answer or solve. They must always attempt to answer the questions on their own and if they really do not know how to go about tackling them, as a tutor, I would guide them step by step to do so instead of just providing them with the answers. This way, I would instill in them the different problem solving skills which they can apply when they face similar problems or challenges in the future.

In Raffles Institution, I was in the Integrated Programme and I obtained an overall GPA of 3.64 (out of 4.00). For my A Level (taken in 2009), I obtained all A's for my four H2 subjects and B for GP.
