Dear Sir/Mdm, I am Dinah, an MOE teaching award holder currently pursuing a degree in psychology in NUS. My teaching subjects specified by MOE are English and Math (Primary Track). However, I have a 2 year experience tutoring Lower Sec History, as well as a 6 month school attachment experience teaching sec 3 history. My teacher in Dunman High School has made my history lessons come alive, and it has spurred on my interest in the great events of the past. This is how I have conducted my history lessons in Bedok North, as well as my private tuition classes. I believe in making lesson relevant, fun and exciting for my tutees. I believe the goal of education is not merely a hot pursuit of grades, but above and beyond, it is the cultivation of minds to better appreciation of the finer things in life. If a student is engaged and interested, then not only will he be able to absorb knowledge faster, but I too will be able to teach with greater joy and passion.
