"Dedicated to Perfection!"
I am a graduate student from the IP programme of Temasek JC. Previously I attended a prestigious school in Tianjin, China. There, I clinched the top 3 position twice in end-of-semester exams (out of 760 students), won the 2nd price in the Chinese Olympiad as well as the 34th position in the nationwide Scholastic English Speaking Competition. From 2009 till now, I studied in Singapore on a MOE scholarship. These four years of independent living and learning has transformed me into a mature and more capable individual. Academically, I have represented my school in many external competitions and events. Having first-hand experience in two distinct education systems as a student myself, I developed a unique set of learning and examination skills for both arts and science subjects, which I am more than willing to share with your child. I believe that school tutors are generally knowledgeable about the subjects taught, but they often emphasize more on the knowledge instead of the vital skills to internalize and apply the knowledge. Moreover, content irrelevant to exams is sometimes taught, only to confuse the average learner. As a student who has survived and excelled countless exams, I am in a good position to teach your child what is essential to chinch that ‘A’. I have always been a responsible, dedicated and strong-minded individual, willing to work hard to achieve my goals. If I am hired as a tutor, I will make every effort to be thoroughly prepared for every lesson. I hope my students will not only get the most out of the content and skills taught, but will also be inspired to become more responsible and hard-working. I am also an extremely patient and understanding person. What is more, I love kids. In the end, exams are the students’ battles and they need to put in the effort themselves. But with me pointing out the directions for them and arming them with the most powerful weapons, fighting and defeating every exam question is going to be so much easier.
I have taught Maths at a Primary School several times before. I have went overseas once to teach English. I frequently help classmates with their studies.
