"Results don't matter as much as the process of learning"

I am currently still in National Service(NS), but it is due to end on the 29 November 2013. I am currently a holder of the Ministry Of Health Holdings (MOHH) Overseas Scholarship and I will embark on my university education in September 2014 in the UK. I am eloquent and humorous, but i can be firm as well. I would like my students to be self-motivated learners, and they should question whenever in doubt. I believe that results are not as important as the learning process. Students should have a clear and thorough understanding of their fundamental concepts and perform based on their level of understanding for the subject, rather than 'score' through rote learning, where they may still have issues grasping basic concepts. Hence, the approach that i would take would help facilitate sustainable learning, where the student would build a strong foundation, which will help him progress better in his whole course of study. (e.g Having a good understanding of basic Algebra concepts in primary school would benefit the student later on in secondary school, where they would be learning more advanced Algebra concepts.)
