"Understanding is key"
Currently teaching JC Biology. I have been teaching tuition for 3 years. Taught JC Biology, GP, secondary school chemistry, biology and English. Under my tutelage, my students have seen improvement in their results. I am patient in explaining difficult concepts to my students. I will ensure that they fully understand the concept before moving on to the next topic. This is because I believe that studying is not about rote memorisation. It is about learning the important skills and understanding the concepts so that you can excel. I believe this is the most crucial part of teaching. I have materials for students to do practices with. For JC Biology, especially, I believe it is crucial to have constant practice to learn how to phrase answers. I am extremely confident that I can help you (or your child) excel in biology. This is because I am highly well-versed in the content because I am currently a Biology undergraduate in NUS. I am also very familiar with how A level markers expect you to phrase your answers. I am also very experienced in teaching English, and know how to tailor my lessons to address the student's needs while keeping their interest. I was part of an award winning NUS student-led programme that designed and taught a curriculum to teach secondary 3 students essay writing. Under my guidance, my students' essays were published in a school essay publication.
Student went from S (subpass) to B in 7 months for JC H2 Biology. Under my guidance, my students' essays were published in a school English essay publication.
