"Give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish you feed him for a lifetime"
I started gaining interest in teaching after being motivated by my teachers in Secondary School. I want to be able to help others just like how my teachers selflessly helped me. In JC, i was privileged enough to be able to catch on with the classroom syllables rather quickly. My JC then provided me with the opportunity to be a school peer tutor where i helped teach and educate my peers in need. This programme lasted for a year. By teaching them. i not only gained more knowledge but more importantly, i became a better educator. I became better at helping my peers understand the concept. In the army, i had several students who i have taught tuition to. This experience of teaching outside students that were not my schoolmates made me became a better teacher. I learnt to think from their shoes. I learnt skills to became a more effective and clearer educator. Most importantly, i helped my students achieve their targeted academic goals and made sure they enjoy and understand what they learn. Like the saying goes, 'give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish you feed him for a lifetime.' I am confident in my skills and ability to be able to teach students and provide them the skills they need to be able to tackle and ace the exams effectively and independently.
I have helped several students achieve their academic goals in the national exams.
I am currently a tuition teacher at a tuition centre. I obtained straight As for all subjects except GP in A Level. I am currently a university college scholarship holder for a double degree program.
