I started tutoring while I was still pursuing my degree in NTU. Currently, I am a full time tutor with at least 8 years of tutoring experience. I love solving questions, and excel in Mathematics since young. I was also selected to participate in Math Olympiad previously. As a graduate from engineering, I specialise in teaching Mathematics and Science currently. Mathematics is about understanding the concept and foundation first before building on it with a variety of practice questions. My style is to focus on different working strategies and questions so that the student can be exposed to a variety of techniques in problem solving. Students have feedback that my explanations are clear and easy for them to understand. For Science, I will go through each topics with the students first before going through questions. One of my teaching methods is to demonstrate or use real life examples to help students understand and remember better. After each topic, I would require the students to do their own mind map to recap and ensure they understand. I also do provide my own booster notes that are useful for exams for all my students to revise with. Parents know me as a very patient and sincere tutor who really want to help my students improve. As a full time tutor, parents can be assured on my commitment to the classes. In my years of tutoring, all my students have shown improvement in their results (1-4 grade improvement).
