"Helping your child to help him/herself "
I can start as soon as possible, and believe in commitment because that is how a student can improve. I will be able to fully commit for at least a year. As my time management and regular tuition sessions are vital to my students' academic progress, I view tuition disruption seriously and henceforth, any foreseen tuition disruption on my part will be given at least 5 days' notice in advance to make rearrangement convenient for both parents and students. However, additional tuition sessions nearer to students' examinations are subject to availability.
I have been giving tuition for 6 years, with 90% of my students (who were either failing or borderline passes) scoring distinctions after my guidance. I determine the student's strengths and weaknesses during the first few lessons and work out an exclusive study plan from there. Having taught over 50 students, I have my fair share of experience. My training under NIE is also greatly beneficial in ensuring that I am updated with the latest syllabus changes. For Primary School students, my strength lies in teaching Creative writing, English and Math due to my patience and innovative teaching style. Besides my own tutees, 1 year of teaching at a prestigious Primary School also provided me exposure in areas such as teaching international students. My previous tutees ranged from P1 to P6. For Secondary school students, I teach Mathematics (Lower Sec) and E.Math/A.Math (Upper Sec). One honourable mention is a Sec 5 student, who was failing her Prelims with F9 for Math. After having intensive tuition with me for 2 months, where I also guided her in other subjects, she went on to become the Top N Level student in Anderson Secondary (she scored A1 for her Math). I have also taught Math to Sec 1-4 students. For JC students, I tutored various J1 and J2 students from HCI, RJC, NYJC, SRJC, AJC, PJC, IJC, NYJC, YJC and TJC. Most of them eventually scored A in A levels for H1 or H2 Math, with the most recent case being an improvement from 23/100 to 68/100.
All my students, regardless of what their current grades were, improved to a high B or A for their end of year examinations, prelims or national examinations
