I am currently an Economics undergraduate at the National University of Singapore, and has been a Dean's Lister for 2 consecutive semesters. I have taught O Level English for 4 months in a classroom setting last year. I will commence relief teaching in English at Canberra Secondary when the term starts at the last week of June. In addition I have 4 years of private tutoring experience with the O Level sciences and mathematics. I make it a point to follow closely to the relevant syllabus to cover all necessary aspects. During lessons I have one primary and one secondary focus. The primary focus is to get the students to be conversant in the concepts and knowledge explicated in the syllabus. I believe in making my own revision notes catered to each individual student to reinforce the specific aspects in which he is weak in. The secondary aim is for the student to develop an instinctive approach in answering questions. I believe this is important for students to be exam effective. With regards to this, I look into practices and repetition which would allow a student to master each subject successfully.
