"With the right attitude, nothing can bring you down!"
I started tutoring after my O Levels to my cousins and soon I was teaching to their friends as well. Since then, I tutored enough to know that my passion lies in teaching others and the satisfying moment when my students understood their lesson well. Teaching method: Understand based. I do not believe in memorization where students are forced in remember whole lot of things and not being able to read between the lines and filter out unnecessary informations. My students are required to understand what they are learning and be able to relate their work to reality, to even the simplest task that they perform daily. With that knowledge and understand, they can apply what they learn and pen it down. Coming from a school where self-learning is induced, it is very essential for us to understand what we are doing and why we are learning it. This is not only a skill for school work but also prepare all of us for the working, adult world. That's what I aim to achieve from my students.
- 2 of my students passed E.O.Y examinations with A and B, which is a relatively vast improvement from their previously Cs, respectively. - My student/friend Lim Wan Yi from Republic Poly also achieved an A for her Financial Accounting module
- As for English during GCE 'N' and 'O' Levels - B for Principal of accounts for 'O' Levels - As for Cognitive and Communications modules in Republic Poly (2 different modules).
