"Giving you the tools to build your dreams"
I entered VJC in 2002 as a recipient of the ASEAN scholarship. After a successful stint there, I received the ASEAN Undergraduate scholarship to study Psychology in NUS. I am now reading Law in NUS under the Graduate LL.B Programme. While in NUS, I had the experience of tutoring a diverse range of students, ranging from underprivileged children at the Salvation Army home, to a GEP student from RGPS. From 2008 - 2010, I was a full-time tutor, guiding O-Level students in Biology and Chemistry. My students came to me with C6 grades and below, and saw tremendous improvement to end with A1 and A2 grades. I work by inspiring students to want to do well, as motivation is the primary factor influencing their performance. My job is to give them the tools to achieve the grades they want.
My students taking O Level Chemistry and Biology in 2008 and 2009 went from fail grades to A1 and A2 grades.
I obtained straight As in my A-Levels, taking Math, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as an A1 for Malay AO and Distinction for Biology S Paper. I was an ASEAN Pre-University and Undergraduate Scholarship holder.
