"Every child can achieve"
I believe that each child has his/her own capabilities and potentials that should never be doubted by their parents. Not every child will excel or improve at the same pace and produce the exact desired results. However, ultimately, what matters would be the efforts that the child had put in, and not the end result. Even the slightest improvement should be applauded so that the student will have a boost of self-confidence and self-esteem. This is key, as most of the time, the child does not excel because he/she does not believe that it is even possible to begin with.
The most promising outcome in my students would have been a P4 student which I had taught only for a month, as it was close to the end of the year. From a failure in Maths and borderline marks in English and Science, I managed to get him to be 3rd in class at the end of the year. This was also due to his hard work and efforts. I have also taught a foundation student who was failing her subjects and managed to make pass and graduate to sec sch.
