"Helping your kids to get less than 10 points in their O level. "
I am a full time tutor with 10 years of experience. I am very well-versed with the school syllabuses. Base on this 9 years personal experience, you may not the smartest or the most hardworking in class, but if you work sufficiently hard in the right direction, you can achieve what you want. I have guided many students to find their right direction and to acquire their lifelong learning skills. Here is my teaching method: Many students find that they are difficult to interpret the concept of the crucial principles, apply these on the question and what these relate to other topics. Firstly. I give my well prepare lecture notes to my students. I will teach my students towards a deep understanding of the concepts of the topics by introducing increasingly thought provoking question, I may explain those concepts with words diagram and demos. After that high-lighten those important questions and beware what type of questions can easily make careless mistake. I do not believe in spoon-feeding as this will lead to laziness and a superficial understanding of the concepts, which translates to a loss of interest in the subject and poorer grades. I teach my students to study smart, and to practise my “understand more, memorise less” philosophy. I also emphasize meta-cognition method and heuristics method (which is useful for post-primary school and secondary school).
I have taught >120 students within 9 years. For example. Joanne. I taught her from Secondary 2 till JC. She scored A for A Maths, E Maths, Phy, Chem. She Scored A for H2 Maths Jun Qi. I taught him from 2008 to 2010. He scored A1 for E Maths, Phy and Chem. A2 for A Maths
