"Giving confidence"

I have taught a variety of students in my 4 years of experience. I have taught Primary school and Secondary school English and Chinese languages to a number of foreign students from Myanmar, Indonesia, Japan, China and Vietnam, who have seen improvements in their grasp of these languages. The following is an example of the kind of improvements I have seen in my students: A Primary 6 local student who improved from a string of B and C in her Mid-terms to getting a score of 210+ in her PSLE within a short 3 months. In addition to putting in my best effort to improve the academic results of my students, I also make sure I maintain a pleasant teacher-student relationship with my students as I believe that being well-liked and respected by my students has important, positive and long-lasting implications on their academic and social developments. I am still keeping in touch and meeting up with some of my ex-students. I usually provide extra materials for my students, for example, for primary school students, i have printed out other school exam papers to track my students' progress and i have also made some practice papers to further enhanced their understanding of the topic.
