"Being the best that you can be."
Having completed my Primary Education in the UK, I have a more motivational and direct approach to teaching, incorporating both UK and Singapore teaching styles. I will try my best to enhance the Child's strong point, and fill in the gaps to his weak points, to achieve an overall improvement.
I do not believe in mugging and memorising straight from the books. I believe in understanding the concepts, and what is expected. I will teach both exam skills as well as what the syllabus requires. This way, the Child will be able to adapt to tricky/concept-based questions in exams.
I believe that I will be a motivating, fun, yet slightly strict tutor that will bring a whole new perspective to the idea of learning, and hopefully, to making learning fun for the child in order to maximise the retention of information.
I understand that I do not have any prior experience, and that I may not be the most familiar with the syllabus due to overseas education and the ever-changing syllabus. However, I do believe that I have the passion needed to teach well, and I will ensure that any holes in my knowledge will be filled up as fast as humanely possible in order to provide the Child with a clear picture of what He or She needs to know.

In Secondary 1, I won an Edusave Scholarship as I got promoted from Normal Academic Stream to Express Stream in Bukit Panjang Government High School, despite not having any PSLE Certificate.
I was also one of the Guest Speakers during a Live Radio Show on NewsRadio 93.8FM, discussing about parenting styles from the eyes of a teenager.
I got placed as one of the top 12 best speakers in my JC's Annual Inter-Class Debate Competition. I was also handpicked for the Pre-University Seminar as one of the only 5 JC1's that represented my school. The other 25 participants were all from JC2.
