"Never give up!"
I have been teaching over past 10 years since 2005 and have tutored mainly in Mathematics (Add/E-Maths/H2 Maths) and Science subjects (Pure Physics, Pure Chemistry, H2 Chemistry) over Pri 5-6, Secondary O Level and JC A-Level H2 Students. Many of my students started off with a lot of inertia and weak foundations but ended up with single digit L1R5 grades and became more confident of their abilities in tackling complex questions. Some have made it to top schools and universities! The secret lies in simplifying the utterly complex concepts that schools tend to confuse and bulldoze through, emphasizing on the common pitfalls and mistakes students tend to face and struggle, familiarity and added trending of how questions have been set, phrased and marked, with self-developed, concise exam-focused notes to help students quickly revise, and to apply the acquired knowledge to real-life examples. Using industrial examples and models, my lessons have instilled rigor and interest in students by demonstrating quick-wins on how learning new theories or concepts connect them better to the real world instead of stale academia Q&A. For example, when it comes to teaching Science, I have showed them how an electric bell, an electric guitar works based on electromagnetism as well as with a Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (CRO)! I also believe in answering students doubts thoroughly and not strictly go by the hour, as many students in the beginning may not be able to clearly articulate and express their perplexed state of mind.
Helped many committed students over past 10yrs to score As and reap great improvements in Maths and Science subjects, after putting in their fair share of effort.
