"Find the hidden strengths in every child"
I am patient and able to work with children. I am willing to recap what the students learnt in school and go through their mistakes with them. I am also willing to identify the student's weakness(es) and guide them along with it.
I was in Saint Andrew's Junior College mentoring for 1 year, and also involved in teaching Primary 5 and Primary 6 students English, Chinese, Mathematics, and Science. I also volunteered at Grace Haven Home for a year where I taught primary and secondary school students English, Chinese, Mathematics, Science, Pure Biology, Pure Chemistry, Pure Physics, and Additional Mathematics. I am able to teach JC H2 Biology and H2 Chemistry, as I have taught my friends these subjects while studying in SAJC. I also tutored my juniors after school in secondary school, and peer tutored my friends and other classmates. I used to be a student care teacher at the Aldersgate Powerlife Centre. In 2009, I taught P4 and P6 English, Maths and Science, Sec 3 A Maths and Physics/Biology, as well as Sec 4 and 5 Normal Academic Mathematics. One of my PSLE pupils finally passed his PSLE Maths after failing constantly.
The students I usually teach are from the normal stream. Before I taught them they usually fail their exams or barely pass. Under my tutelage, many have passed their exams with substantial marks and some have even gotten an A.
Graduated with 2nd Lower class Hons. CAP: 3.97
