"Dedicated to unleash every student's potential in English!"
5 Years tutoring experience and 3 years full-time teaching experience at secondary school.
Through my experience teaching and tutoring the students who were weak in English in one way or another, I am able to assess the areas that students need intervention in. I provide resources in these areas as well as teach using books that I recommend. I teach strategies that help students in answering and monitoring their learning. I am effective in motivating students to take responsibility of their learning.
At the same time, I engage students in discussions over current affairs to encourage analytical thinking and fluency in expression. This is in line with the new English syllabus that expects students to have knowledge in diverse topics related to current affairs or their society.

I coached 2 upper primary students individually over last 3 years in the new syllabus. They improved their grades from Bs to As.
I also coached 3 secondary school students individually or in small groups. They are scoring between Bs and As, a sign they are handling the challenging expectations of O Level English well. In my former classes in secondary schools, I have a track record of making my lessons engaging and targeted for students.

I am a confident user and teacher of the English Language due to my background in Philosophy, which has helped to develop my skills in argumentation, critical and analytical thinking, all important aspects of comprehension and writing.
