"Understanding accounting with joy and ease"

I am Low Meng Yong Dominic, a final year 3 Degree in Accountancy student. My first exposure to accounting is during my Secondary 3 when I took POA. My interest for the subject grew and I decided to pursue this specialisation in my polytechnic and university studies. I am interested to know how accounting really function in the real world. I believe the accountancy courses provided during my tertiary education will equip me with the in-depth knowledge and mechanics that I need to go about doing accounting. Studying the subject for 9 years has given me a clear idea of how accounting is taught by various teachers and professors. I believe I have what it takes to be a good teacher. I hope to deliver my lessons in an enjoyable and interesting way yet easy to understand. Different students have different methods of studying. I will explore those methods and decide which one is the most suitable way to meet the needs of my students. I also wish to share my valuable accounting experience with my students on top of their current curriculum. I believe a holistic approach to study the subject would be beneficial to my students as they get to explore real-life experiences and also appreciate how accounting has evolved over time. To end off, I hope my students will look forward to my every lessons and improve and excel under my guidance.
