"A Friend, A Helper"

I am an undergraduate student at Nanyang Technological University studying Environmental Earth System Science. I am keen on nurturing students and helping them to achieve their best potential. I may not have experience in giving tuition, but I consistently provide academic help to my peers in secondary school and junior college when it was needed. Being able to patiently explain concepts and providing simple and concise analogies are a few of my strengths when providing guidance. Encouraging others is another forte of mine that is particularly suited to giving tuition. I am likely to be strict towards my students while ensuring that they know that I am approachable. Students under my care will be expected to play their part in preparing for tuition lessons. 3 chances will be given for failure to complete given assignments. Upon the 4th time assignments are not completed, students can expect to be reprimanded and such behavior will be reported to their parents. Privileges of being able to message to ask questions will also be revoked. Students who do not behave appropriately during lesson times will also be reprimanded. While tuition should be for academic pursuit, I do not think that unruly behaviour should be left uncorrected. Assignments will most likely be from a compilation of exercises from textbooks and assessment books. Assignments will be given for almost every lesson. Lesson structure will differ depending on students' needs.
