"Bringing the best out of my students"

I have been involved in informal teaching programme back in my Secondary School and Junior College. I was in Peer Mentoring Programme in SJI, in which I was attached to 3 students from the same batch. In this programme, I was required to help them in their study, particulary in Elementary Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. This programme lasted for about 3-4 months. Additionally, in SAJC, I was also involved in another Peer Mentoring Programme, in which I was required to help my CCA-mates in their study. Back then, I helped them in H2 Mathematics, H2 Physics, H2 Chemistry and H2 Economics. I mostly helped them in H2 Mathematics and H2 Economics. I am currently studying double major in Applied Mathematics and Economics. Other than that, I had stayed in the hostel for 4 years during my school year, whereby I helped my neighbours and roommates too. All of them managed to do well in their examinations. As such, I strongly believe that I would be able to help my students well as I have a lot of experience in dealing with different groups of students. Also, I was quite close to my JC teachers, which allowed me to learn from them on how to teach effectively, especially during my private consultation My teaching style would depend on students' needs. For example, some have difficulty in time management, in which I will teach them to identify which questions to do first.
