"Every child is different and unique."

I enjoy tutoring children and I am able to connect to them as well as communicate well with them. I am patient with children and would refrain from using the hard approach unless necessary. I recognise that different children require different teaching methods and I am able to pay individual attention to each and every child despite teaching them in a group. I have had 3 years of experience for tuition. I taught a group of 4 girls in Science, Mathematics and English from when they were in P5 to currently secondary 2. When I first took on tutoring them, they were scoring an average of a just- pass grade. However, in their PSLE 2 years ago, the lowest grade they scored was a B. All of them managed to get into the Express Stream. I am also teaching another secondary 1 boy in Chinese. I recently finished my A levels in late November and am currently waiting for the release of my results. I wish to make full use of my time I have now and hence wish to make some money by taking on tutoring. I am able to commit throughout the entire year of 2009 as I believe consistency in a child's study life is crucial. I will try to make it as smooth a transition as possible for the children when I first take onto tutoring them.
