"Helping students help themselves"

I would say that having patience and determination are my greatest traits. I am warm and approachable thus my student will be able to feel comfortable around me therefore learning as much as possible from me. Teaching is also my passion, thus I am confident that I would make learning enjoyable for my student. I have 1 year of tutoring experience in Maths, Science and Chinese. During this 1 year, I taught 1 student and she has shown improvements in her test, especially her Maths. She has improve at least 10 marks for each subject. My teaching method is that I would go through my student's schoolwork with him/her and make sure that he/she fully understands a topic before moving on to another. I would also make use of assessment books and past exams papers to give the child more practice.The student can also feel free to contact me if he/she has questions after tutoring session.To ensure that the student's parents are in track of their student's progress, I would make an effort to update them every two weeks.
