"Bringing your kids to next level"
I have experience teaching my class math when i was in poly. And i will always put in my greatest effort in helping my students learnt and understand. So how do i come about teaching my students? Firstly, i would do an assessment on where the student stand. For example, i will give the student a piece of assessment paper and gauge from the score where he stand. Then after, i would see where his weak areas are on and aid him on the weaker areas and help him improve from there. I will always provide a step by step and precise explanation to students. This is done so that students understand the process and know what they are doing during the step by step basis and hence deriving the answer. For example, if a student stumbles upon a math question, i will see and ask where he is stuck or where he went wrong. From there, i will guide him, for example underlining the keywords and aid them in understanding the question better. Hence solving the question progressively from their stronger understanding. I have teached primary to diploma level math and have made students more interested, passionate and motivated to do better in math. I always encourage my students to understand the question before proceeding as it is the most important aspect. once knowing what the question wants and you know the key important points, solving the question will be a piece of cake. Students always find my lesson interesting. For example, when teaching primary math, instead of drawing models to understand the question, i use real life objects that students might find easier to understand. Every student has their very own way of understanding things better. I am always happy to hear when my students start bugging me for more papers and more challenging questions to solve, this shows me that they r willing to tackle more problems and hence more motivated to excel even further.
