I have 6 years of private tutoring experience and have taught over 20 students. I was mainly teaching Upper Secondary and A Level students for Math and Science subjects. I adopt a very systematic, methodical and straightforward approach to teaching because I understand that simplicity and clarity is the key to quick and productive learning. At the same time, my teaching material is highly in-depth and comprehensive, as I strongly believe in pushing my students and challenging them. To ensure that my students can absorb and understand what was taught, I put painstaking time and energy into patiently breaking down my explanations and solutions in great detail, and thereafter focusing on the core general concepts, methods and principles to be extracted therefrom, so that what is imparted are not just specific solutions per se but rather a system of methods that can be applied to every other question. I am also highly sensitive to the individual profile of each of my students and put much thought and reflection into tailoring my approach and relating to each of my students on a personal level, because I understand that in order to achieve academic breakthrough, the inherent potential of each student is more powerful than anything else and a good tutor must learn to deeply tap into this. Last but not least, I focus on devising and implementing a unique revision strategy for each of my students depending on their individual strengths and flaws, because streamlining and structuring the same in a smart and tailored manner is crucial to ensuring peak performance during the actual exam.
