"Enjoying the process of learning :)"
I am currently waiting for my A level results, having taken Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics as my core subjects (4H2s) in Raffles Junior College. Having taught at a Family Service Centre, offering academic help and emotional guidance to children, I have some experience in handling difficult personalities, and understand the patience required in teaching smaller children, especially those in upper primary. My first lesson typically begins with a short diagnostic test and questioning to understand the capabilities of the student and expectations of parents, in order to prepare for future sessions. Further sessions will be tailored based on the student’s weaknesses, and will aim to minimise homework so there will still be time for play :) I typically work closely with parents in aiding a child’s education, as I believe parental support is crucial in ensuring a more effective change in the child’s study habits and future attitude towards academics. Feedback sessions may also be conducted at the end of my term in order for me to continue improving in my own teaching journey. Looking forward to working with you and your child to enjoy and excel in their academics! :)
I have tutored children ranging from upper primary to secondary school, with improvements in academic results and harbouring more serious attitudes towards their education.
I scored 265 in PSLE and entered Integrated Programme in Raffles Girls’ School. Following that, I scored a GPA of 3.66 in my final year, before moving on to Raffles’ Junior College. Am currently waiting for my A level results.
