"Every kid is unique and I strive to bring out the best in him/her! "
I taught math and science for 24 years and I also went to many schools to conducts E learning and math Olympiad lessons. I have lost count of the number of students and schools that crossed my path. Some of the many schools that I have taught in Marymount Convent School, Mindchamps Association for People with Special Needs (APSN), Mindstretcher, Joyous Learning, Hothouse , EQuester, and CHIJ, St Nicholas, ACS, MGS, PLMGS, DaChiao, Hougang Pri and many more I collaborate closely with parents to provide constructive feedback and offer structure for conducive learning environment that facilitate learning. I encourage the learners to take up leadership in their learning and practice accountability. This support yields tremendous positive learning outcome that empowers both the learners and their parents. I believe in empowering the learning with the fishing rod rather than providing them the fishing . Some proud moments June 2017 , C came to me in Jun with 18/100 in math. She had never passed math and didn't believe she will ever so. With less than 2.5 months to PSLE, we worked on it and she passed math for the first time in PSLE . Now, she topped her class in math in sec 1, scoring A2 and math is now her strongest subject in school. B scored 8/100 for science P5 SA2 . For PSLE , he scored a B . G improved for all his subjects and what was most gratifying was the shift in his mindset such that his relationship with his dad improved by leaps and bounds.
Crystal improved from 18/100 to Pass in math PSLE in 2.5 months. She now top her class in math in Sec 1, scoring A2 Bryant scored 8/100 in P5 SA2 and score B for PSLE. Julene used to fail math . She now scores A1 in her E math and also A math Too many happy moments that I lost track.
