Have tutored primary, secondary N(A) and Express students in JC volunteering programme weekly ( 2 hours / session ) for less privileged homes. Mainly taught English, Math and Sciences. Many of these students were originally failing or barely passing, but over a few months improved to A's & B's with effort. Those who were already doing well maintained A's and aimed for higher distinctions. Hence able to work with students of varying capabilities to bring out their best :) Now looking to also teach IP / JC students to help them attain the pinnacle of academic achievement :) Will set realistic goals that can be achieved through diligence and effective study. Will set homework to students with challenging questions to have them think through concepts. Tuition time will primarily be spent going through concepts and mistakes, homework can be done at own time to maximise effectiveness of tuition session.
