"Studying should be enjoyable"
I have been tutoring JC students for the last 3 years. Over the last 3 years, I have taught over 24 students in H2 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from RJC, EJC, NJC, VJC, MI, JPJC, YIJC, and more. My students have seen their grades improve over the months and have expressed that my style of teaching style not only helped them better understand their subjects but was also enjoyable. My goal has always been to not only improve my students' grades, but also to help them cultivate a habit of learning. I graduated from EJC in 2019. I consistently excelled in my sciences and was consistently the top few among my cohort. For my prelims, I got 85 for H2 Maths and was the 2nd in level for H2 Chemistry. I also participated in the Chemistry and Physics Olympiad and was on the Dean's list for both years. My teaching philosophy revolves around breaking down difficult concepts into digestible bite-size pieces for my students in order to help them understand what they are learning in school. I believe this makes the studying process more enjoyable as they will actually be able to internalize the knowledge, thereby motivating my students to want to study more. With that being said, I do still focus on answering techniques and will ensure that my students know how to score. I will also provide notes and materials that I personally used. I am also contactable 24/7 throughout the week and I will spend time to understand my student, in order to better tailor my lessons for them as well as to help them become more motivated and less stressed. All in all, I am confident in improving my student's grades and understanding. More importantly, I believe I can make my students more interested in studying in general and start appreciating that gaining knowledge can be an enjoyable process.
I have helped 15 students go from C/D/E/S/U to a B/A across JC subjects in Physics, Chemistry and Math.
I was on Dean's List for both years in JC. I studied H3 Physics in JC. I was part of the Chemistry and Physics Olympiad in JC. I consistently scored As for H2 Physics, Chemistry, and Math throughout the 2 years.
