i have a cousin living together with me and he is from china. His language was weak when he first came, and now he is able to pass his english without much supervision. The importance of my teaching method is to let the student learn to fish and them know how to fish for the rest of their life. I don't provide them the solution immediately, i get them to try and keep trying. i believe is through these mistakes that the child learn. Apart from that, i understand that different student have different capabilities and characters. so we have to teach them based on their ways of acceptance. for example, my cousin is someone who will climb over you if you are too soft with him so i will use the stern approach. From then he will learn that study is a serious matter and be more obedient. He is current primary 4 student and he does still seeks me for assistance in his subjects. Thus i get to know what the current primary students are going through. On top of that, my cousin is a higher chinese student, most of the time i have to go through and check his work. I have experience teaching my own cousin throughout these 4 years. He was third in class and was selected for higher chinese course. If i can help him improve his studies, i believe that i can help your child too.
