"I bring out the inner genius in your child"
I am an entrepreneur with my own company, dealing with youth workshops. My expertise is mainly in the areas of Leadership, Social Intelligence and Public Speaking. I have worked with NCC, Singapore Scouts Association and Mindef.
Working with youths is my passion, which is why I am reading psychology to better understand how I can help youths academically and developmentally. I seek not just to teach, but to nurture the inner potential with youths. To better handle and work with youths, I volunteer in the Singapore Boys’ Home and also with Fei Yue Community Services, as well as my own religious organization.
I pay special attention to my students’ learning style, having done extensive research in educational pedagogy, because I believe that teaching is not just about having knowledge, though it is important. What’s more important is the understanding of the student psyche, how to communicate the knowledge and help the student apply the knowledge for excellence.
I have had 2 years of tuition experience. I employ the modality method in teaching, paying close attention to the learning abilities and preferences of the ward. My students (20 of them) generally have single grade improvements, with some having double grade improvement(5).
