I am interested in teaching and mentoring, for i believe that as we grow older and more mature, it becomes our task to in turn inspire and teach those younger and less experienced who are following in our footsteps. I have a fond interest in mentoring and teaching young children. I have participated in an Overseas Community Involvement Project to Thailand where i taught pri. school children english for nearly 2 weeks. I was also a lieutenant in the SAF and during my tour i had to provide guidance and counsel to many of my less priviledged trainees, who often came from broken families and were bedraggled by the burdens of their past, that included drug abuse, shotgun marriages and gang involvement. All my experiences cultivated in me compassion and a deep enthusiasm and conviction to help others. For i believe,what we learn, we must use constructively and for the benefit others, and in tuitioning others i find it a very intersting to be able to interact with those younger than i am and able to impart what i have learnt at the same time.
