"Quitters never win and Winners never quit"
Teaching is a passion and it requires good command of the language, committed passion and most importantly patience which i believe i have. Challenging when you have to tend to playful students or those who have minimal concentration level and cannot sit still for long. I believe a good tutor is one who can engage the students into the subjects by making it very interesting.I was in the Student's Council during my JC days which cultivated leadership qualities in me. I believe disciplining my students would never be a problem for me. Next, patience, understanding and building rapport with the children plays a very important part in tutoring. Children will require a lot of encouragement instead of reprimandation. The correct & effective studying techniques needs to be applied. Besides tutoring, I also inculcate in them the importance of time management.
I have been teaching 2 primary school students for the past 2 years. They are both in primary 4 now and for the past 2 years they have both scored more than 90 marks for both English and Maths. Name of my students: Hashani from Punggol and Cheryl from Potong Pasir.
I was awarded LCCI Intermediate for Accounting.
