"Cultivating the love of music in piano learners."
A final-year Communication Studies undergrad at NTU, I have been teaching private piano since 2007. I specialize in molding beginner learners, and my students have all received at least Merit Certificates in the ABRSM music examinations. I am also a keen writer who has completed both communications (public relations) and journalism internships, and I have published several articles in local lifestyle titles. I have an excellent grasp of the English language and I would be able to help students correct and improve their grammar. My writing background also makes me suitable for teaching creative writing and helping students who have trouble writing compositions.
My two 9-year-old students received Distinctions in their Grade 1 and 2 ABRSM examinations. My 19-year-old student received Merit in her Grade 3 ABRSM examinations despite no prior formal piano learning.
I will graduate in May 2010 with second upper honours degree. I was the third-best student in Temasek Polytechnic's Hospitality Management course, with consistent placement on the Director's Honours List. I graduated from Crescent Girls' School with a L1R5 of 7 points.
