"Unafraid, What's Ahead."

I have been a tutor for the past 14 years since my national service period. I am very experienced and familiar with the primary and secondary school syllabus according to PSLE and GCE standards. I am very approachable, friendly and often encourage students to speak up if in doubt. I have a strong relevance when it comes to relating to youths as I am currently a volunteer worker for a youth help group. I alwayas guide and teach the youths to do their best in order to achieve excellence. When it comes to teaching, I would always prefer to be just slightly ahead of the schedule compared to their schools syllabus. This way, the students can always be more confident when dealing with their current assignments or exams in school. Before the start and at the end of each lesson, I would do a quick summary of the lesson to recap and check the students learning. Lastly, I believe that students need to be engaged during tuition sessions and not just simply listening without understanding. With that in mind, I tell myself to always talk WITH the students and not just to talk TO the students, encouraging them to voice out any difficulties that they may encounter. Driven by a strong passion to teach and the satisfaction to see students excel, my main aim is to bring out the potential in every student to achieve their very best. Tuition should always be an engaging and interesting time for students. Warmly welcome students to have tuition at my place, especially if students find that their current studying environment is not conducive for learning.
