"Every child can shine."
I've been teaching for more than 11yrs in primary schools like Compassvale Primary School, NorthSpring Primary and now in Poi Ching School. I've been using different strategies in teaching pupils from P1 to P6. Strategies I've used include Multiple Intelligence, Mind-mapping, process skills and other methodologies. For Maths, teaching Heuristic Skills is important. I believe every child can be developed as a whole person taking into account nutrition, his/her emotional and psychological state.
I've tutored Muhd Ariff and Wan Hazimah, both from Gongshang Primary School. I've tutored Muhd Ariff since he was in P3 to P6. Now he is in Sec 2 Victoria School. In PSLE 2008, he scored A* in Maths and Science, A in Malay and English. Wan Hazimah is in P6 now. I've tutored her since she was in P3. She is one of the top pupils in the school. Last year, she scored A* in Science, Malay, Distinction in Higher Malay, A in English and Maths. She hopes to get 4A* and Distinction in Higher Malay this year.
I graduated in 1995 with Bachelor in Arts with Dip in Education. I achieved Best in Malay at 'A' levels in 1988 in JC.
