"Excelling together"

I am a former tutor from a Tuition Centre, specializing in English, Math and Science for Upper Primary and Lower Secondary levels. For Upper Secondary levels, I specialize in Geography and Social Studies. I have experience in tutoring both local and international students.

At the start of each lesson, I will first quiz the student to gauge his grasp on the topic, and if necessary, revise the key points of the chapter. The focus would be on how to solve commonly asked questions, using a skill-based approach rather than pure memory work.

I also have extensive experience training and working with young people as a Facilitator with a Training Consultancy Firm and Trainer with an Enrichment Service Provider. I am currently volunteering with PA as a coordinator to provide free tuition to children from low income families.

I believe in working closely in partnership with the parent/guardian to help the student progress. Hence after every lesson, I will send an sms update on the student's progess and grasp of the topic/subjects covered. Whenever possible, I would also like to sit down and have a face-to-face discussion on the child's progress, as well as to answer any queries the parent or caregiver may have.
