I am an outgoing person who loves to interact with people. Rest assured that I will conduct the lessons using an engaging approach. I have taught a group of children (individually) from MINDS before for a few weeks. I taught them basic English, such as how to read simple words and to match pictures with the right words. It was a research project conducted by the Ministry of Education (Special Education Branch). Through this, I learnt how to treat students with patience and also how to engage the students as much as possible. I have also taught a Primary 6 student English and Math for about 4-5 months. It was for Community Involvement Programme (CIP). Initially, the student was failing both her subjects but she has now passed PSLE with As and Bs. Finally, I have trained a group of Secondary 1 students in my Secondary School (MGS) on challenging Math problems for the Singapore Math Olympiad. However, this was a voluntary programme and I was only required to train them for 2 months. Although this subject is not required in the usual syllabus, teaching the subject allowed me to develop critical thinking and reasoning skills. I will try my best to use a fun approach to teach the student so that she/he will be eager to learn (:
