"Patience, understanding & encouragements"
I am currently pursuing a degree in Accounting and Finance from University of London at Singapore Accountancy Academy - Global Education (SAA-GE). I understand that my A level results is not spectacular but that was due to my own failure to persevere and not because of my lack of knowledge. I gave up too early at the most crucial part and unfortunately I was unable to recover fast enough, but the lesson has been taught and learnt. However, I have definitely learnt from my mistakes and I feel that I am a better tutor because of it. I understand how stressed out students may feel when it comes to the examinations and because I myself have failed before, i know how to help them through it the best way I know how. I am a part time tutor but I am very committed and passionate. I have been tutoring professionally for almost a year now but I have tutored my peers back in secondary school. I love to help students who want to help themselves. Needless to say, I will also push those who need the extra push. My teaching method is usually such that I would either have the student do self-marking or I will bring back the work to mark. This is so that during tuition I can zoom in and focus on the areas of misconception or poor skills. I tutored a P5 girl English and Math using this method and she showed great improvement within 2 months. Unfortunately she moved house so we had to part ways. I understand that not all students require different methods of teaching and I will change and adapt my teaching method until it is suitable and comfortable for the child. My goal is to help the child learn and study in a more effective manner. I am currently tutoring a sec 2 girl from Anglican High School English, math and science and so far she has done well in her tests and exams.
