"Learning through undertanding through example"
I’ve been teaching Economics since I was a student myself in JC and a total about 4 years of teaching experience. I’ve had around nearly 25 students with this year alone having 7 concurrently, 2 of which were JC 1 students. Their promotional grades have at least improved by 2 grades since before tuition. The schools I’ve taught ranged from PJC/JJC to ACJC/IJC and even HCJC/NJC. I engage the students in understanding the subjects through many real life examples in the business world as Economics is a new subject for most, it is usually hard to grasp with only theory.
I usually approach by helping the students understand their theory and through understanding, be able to write their essays in the language of Econs which is the reason why most do not do well in their exams. My students have all exhibited a minimum of 2 grades improvement with the exception of a couple that have their grade already at B before tution. On top of that, as long as the students are willing to follow the study plan and need a flexible time, I am able to adhere as far as my schedule allows.
I am S-paper trained for Economics and attained a Distinction for the paper.
