"Understand, Improve and Score!"
Teaching Methodology 1) Adopt a step-by-step approach which emphasizes on a good understanding in the application of mathematical concepts instead of being overly fixed on arriving at the final answer. 2) Train students on the thinking process 3) Hands-on activities for certain topics for better understanding of mathematical formulas (especially for kinesthetic learners). Teaching Philosophy As I strongly believe that Mathematics can be only mastered through consistent practicing coupled with the right learning attitude, students will be expected some practice papers. Homework is given to allow students to revisit the concepts that they have learned in class. The more time the students spend practicing their skills, the sooner they will develop confidence in their abilities for the subject.
I have helped more 10 students improved their results (Mathematics and Science). My P4 (2011) student has improved from 64 (CA2) to 82.5 (SA2) for Mathematics after teaching her for less than 2months. My student (Sec1'2012) student from Commonwealth Sec has scored B4 (SA2) for Mathematics under my guidance after failing since start of the year. She has scored a A2 for her SA2 Mathematics (Sec2'2013). Another of my student (Sec2'2013) from Commonwealth Sec scored 60 marks for her Mathematics SA1 from a F grade. I graduated with 2nd upper honour in Chemical Engineering. I obtained As for my O Level Mathematics and Engineering Mathematics (Polytechnic and University Level).
