"NEVER GIVE UP!"
I am currently working full-time as an marketing executive. Graduating with an honours degree in Chinese studies, and pursuing a lifetime learning of chinese, I am effectively bilingual. Most importantly, i believe engaging my students and relating to them is paramount prior to drilling them skills. Hence, i prefer to take on upper primary and lower sec students, as that allow time for rapport and ample time for major exams preparation.
My two O level students, natasha and yihui from CHIJ (Kating) who came to me with failing chinese grades, but manage to achieve a B4 and B3 respectively for their prelims in 6 months.
I graduated with a Honours degree in Chinese Studies from NUS. Previously I attended NYJC, majoring in Higher Chinese, Mathematics and Economics. I was in the Language Elective Programme (LEP-Chinese) in NYJC, a MOE programme offered to students who wish to pursue further in Chinese Language and Literature. Chinese classic novels and literary works were part of the syllabus, I managed to garner a grade B in my A levels, without prior knowledge.
