I am a passionate educator who have been in the education field since I was 17. I was an assistant teacher at Kumon Learning Centre for 2 years. After A'Levels, I joined National Institute of Education and graduated in 2008. I taught in a local Primary School from year 2008 to 2011. I am now an ex-teacher providing full-time tuition services. During my service, I was in the Pupil's Management Department attending to pupils discipline, managing the prefects in the Prefectorial Board and was also the team leader of Overseas Leadership Training and Community Involvement Program. I am also currently a tutor teaching Maths, English & Science to Primary and Secondary school students at CDAC Centres and conduct ad-hoc training in various Primary & Secondary School. I believe in long life learning and self-upgrading. I am currently pursing my degree in Management Studies. As an educator, I believe not only in helping my pupils in their academic achievement but also to develop their character. I will focus not only on the subject matter, but I will discuss with the students on their exam skills, study skills, time-management and independent learning. I also encourage the use of technology and uses interactive lessons from the internet or software as part of my teaching tool. I explore various teaching methods and try to divert from conventional assessment books. Parent-Teacher Communication is also important as I see parents as my partners in developing the child's performance. I usually give a brief update to parents after each lesson by writing a short report on the child's performance and include my recommendations if applicable.
