I have been teaching for more than 10 years. I specialise in helping students at Secondary, JC level for various subjects; business related subjects in higher learning institutions; in piano for graded examinations and in the Japanese language for O' Levels, A'Levels, and JLPT examinations. Occasionally, I also accept assignments for PSLE students, even at the later half of the year before the major examinations. Over the years, I have been giving one-to-one lessons, teaching in tuition centres, music schools, foreign language schools, and also lecturing part-time at Polytechnics part-time. The teaching experiences through diverse methods and institutions have been valuable to helping me develop strategies for teaching each individual, who is different from the next. Prior to becoming a full-time teacher, I worked and lived in Japan for several years as a management consultant. The experience living there enables me to teach the Japanese language through a local flavour and adapted approaches from schools in Japan. I am also trained to help individuals with special learning needs and learning difficulties. I apply it to all subjects taught, including music and English as second language.
