"Nurturing a Love for English Language"
Currently a Business undergraduate at NUS, graduate of Cedar Girls' Secondary School and Hwa Chong Institution (College Section) English has been my favourite language ever since I've embarked on my education journey. I'm passionate about helping dear juniors in developing a keen sense of the language through interest-driven learning during lessons. Contrary to popular belief that "English cannot be studied", I have witnessed my students' grades display significant improvement after learning how to refine their existing ideas and translate them onto paper. I sincerely hope to positively impact more students' lives through teaching English :)
Paid tutoring experience: Secondary 3 and 4 English, Sec 4 Biology, Primary 2 and 4 English. Pro-bono tutoring experience: In JC, I was committed to weekly tutoring sessions with Primary and Secondary schoolchildren of underprivileged backgrounds at a non-profit organisation. I also played an instrumental role as part of a project group that had initiated a free June holidays tutoring programme directed at primary school students who reside in the Geylang Serai estate in 2011.
Graduated as one of the top O Level students from Cedar Girls' Secondary School; received a Gold With Honours Award at Speech Day
