Since at an age of 15 years old, I have been engaged by my relatives to teach their children both maths and science. I managed to push their grades at least a grade up (eg C to B). Soon after I have graduated from my secondary school, my relatives introduced me to other various families for tuition. I taught mainly from sec 1-5, NT to O lvl. During my poly days, I was doing home private tuition till I am fully graduated. After my national service and when I am an undergraduate, I decided to look up for a tuition centre as I wanted to experience teaching in a class. I learnt my teaching experience from my uncle as he is an English secondary school teacher. In addition, I was a relief teacher as well at various secondary schools. My teaching style will usually start off with revising the previous week that I have taught. So as to make sure my students will be able to understand what I have taught before. I will relate maths/physic into daily life as in to put it in a simple term for the student to grab the knowledge behind it. Sometimes I will bring my laptop to show them some slides that I have created for them to understand better. I believe patience and determination play a very big role in teaching. No matter how weak the student is, as long as we tutors have the heart to teach and guide them, the student will soon to know the help that we are giving
