Wan Tian graduated with a Diploma of Fine arts, specializing in painting from Lasalle College of the Arts. She is a painter working on the language of semi-abstraction. Influenced by the forms and gestures of figure, her works are being emphasized on the depth of space with the collaboration of the atmosphere and the body language. Initially trained in painting, she mainly painted figurative and realistic painting in the earlier stage of her art making. Wan Tian has transformed to experiment on all kinds of painting styles by exploiting on the nature of mediums. She also further explores in her practice such as installation, photography and sculpture. She has participated in some exhibitions for her personal artworks in Singapore since 2015. She started her teaching career at the same year 2015, she has a good understanding and feelings of love with the children. She has more than 3 years experiences in teaching art for students from 4 to 16 years old. She teaches watercolour painting, sketching, acrylic painting, oil painting, craft and creative projects. The tutor introduces the students with various art forms, artistic genre, artists, mediums, and techniques. The main emphasis of the art course is to develop the creativity and technical skill in art of the students. She always encourages the students to come up with their individual ideas and approaches towards their artworks. As an art instructor, she was also an art project planner in her previous company. She planned the art projects, theme for art activity such as art exhibition. She guided her students for the children art exhibition, art competition and art workshops which was held in Singapore. Besides, she is honoured to be selected by company for a three months business trip to Nanjing, China. She was teaching as a main art instructor in China. Throughout the years of teaching children art, she enjoys being around with children and have a nurturing personality. She believes art is not just fostering creativity and imagination of the child, it also helps in developing child’s concentration, self-confidence and problem-solve ability.
