"Work hard so you can Play hard"
I believe in a more vocal approach. I speak just for myself, and not for all other graduating students in Singapore when I say this, but I do feel strongly about many methods being employed in secondary schools and junior colleges, especially for graduating classes. For one, I have come to realise the serious emphasis the education system has placed on factual memorisation. Students do not learn anything by forcing themselves to memorise what they feel may come out for their examinations. I really believe that there should be a need for questioning. Albert Einstein once said: “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. The beauty of education is to ask ‘Why?’ and have those questions answered. To be aware of knowledge one never knew about. To constantly discover new insights and new things every day, to answer questions lurking in our minds. But far too often, we are taught not to ask why, to just memorise. Hence, I reckon that,to the best of my ability, I can answer the tutee's questions and make them understand the fundamental approach to tackle the question. This will then ensure more confidence and equip them with the necessary skills to answer tougher questions.
I have helped my younger brother achieve 5 As in GCE O levels.
I obtained an A for my H2 Math, I have been very consistent in ace-ing Math.
