"Work hard, play hard."
Hi, I have a 4 year of exp in teaching Primary EMS. I produce results, the first student I taught went from 5th in class to topping his cohort with Maths as the subject which improved the most. I believe that communication is the key to help students understand better. Also, being patient is essential. I will usually start from the very basic, Phonics, for students who are weaker in their English (especially Spelling and knowing how to read the words). For Maths, I do emphasize a lot on drawing of models (very important for solving problem sums) in order to see the whole picture in a clearer way. I have came to realize that, in my course of teaching lower Primary, one of the reasons why students are unable to solve Maths questions is because they have difficulties reading the instruction of the question and thus they do not understand what is being asked of them. English and Maths tie very closely together, and it is important to detect and tackle the problem from its root. Once the foundation is strong, I will then proceed to teaching them topics which are more challenging.

I have obtained many Distinctions and Merits from the Australian Mathematics Competition, an event held yearly, during my Primary and Secondary school days. Maths is my forte.
