"Tuition is about helping them improve."
Currently pursuing a degree in communications Have taught students from Primary to Secondary O'Level for 3 years. Started tutor career teaching Math, and moved on to teaching English. For Math, believes that there is no one real method but constant practice. Prefers to provide a balanced teaching directive by improving the weakness first. For English, has a 3 pronged approach with one method of tutoring. Making use of newspaper report/summary every week as homework. This method helps to strengthen writing skills, comprehension skills as well as oral skills as students are required to give an oral presentation of the newspaper report apart from the written form. Believes in strengthening the areas students are good in first, as opposed to Math. This is to ensure students can score well in the areas to secure points before seeking to improve weaker areas.
Have helped a N'Level student attain a C5 in Math from scores of less than 30 initially with only 4 months of tutoring.
Received best student award (3rd runner up) for History subject in Secondary school. Received outstanding student award for public speaking skills course in Secondary 1 & 2. Have been master of ceremonies for multiple school events and concerts in Junior College years.
